"reflection" is something i am discovering with my camera.
i'm gonna work this on.
je suis très attiré par les reflections en photo qui ouvrent une nouvelle dimension dans l'image.

Terror Haza, Andrassy ut,60 by ~Gavrinis on deviantART
n Budapest on the most famous avenue, Andrassy ut,60.
The old house where successively, nazis and soviets tortured their political opponents, has been turned into a museum.

The walls are grey with pictures of the victims on it.
This is my vision of this place with two dradful flags of totalitarianism.

Despite a kind of "Disney haunted house" approach, the visit of the place is a must to feel what this folk has been going through not so long ago...

Gellert Art Deco by ~Gavrinis on deviantART

enjoy the pleasure of a warm bath in the art deco Gellert Spa, after a day of walk in Budapest.
Don't forget to try the nearby rudas bath with its ottoman cupola and the ray of light going through...
it sure is a place to make a picture, at least if your camera is not broken as was mine on that day !...

filter: aquarelle in PS

Budavari Palota by ~Gavrinis on deviantART

Castle hill district by night in Budapest.

to get rid of an ugly boat on the foreground, I made a first shot purposely blured and mixed it with a second shot of the castle, as sharp as I could with my compact camera in "pause" mode without tripod!...

European Dalit by ~Gavrinis on deviantART

a Dalit, often called an untouchable, or an outcaste:

Traditionally, Dalits were not allowed to let their shadows fall upon a non-Dalit caste member and they were required to sweep the ground where they walk to remove the 'contamination' of their footfalls...

Comments:The Szabadság Szobor or Liberty Statue in Budapest, Hungary, was first erected in 1947 in remembrance of the Soviet liberation of Hungary from Nazi forces during World War II. Its location upon Gellért Hill makes it a prominent feature of Budapest's cityscape.

At the time of the monument's construction, the Soviet liberation from Nazi forces event was considered a liberation -- leading to the original inscription upon the memorial, which can be translated to read "Erected by the grateful Hungarian Nation in memory of the liberating Russian heroes."

Over the following years, public sentiment toward the Soviets decreased to the point of revolution, which was attempted in 1956 and subsequently damaged some portions of the monument. After the 1989 transition from Communist rule to a more Democratic government, the inscription was modified to read (translated from Hungarian), "To the memory of all of those who sacrificed their lives for the independence, freedom, and success of Hungary." from wikipedia.org
